Time running out to register for Coffs Coast Charity Walk

PEOPLE wanting to join the Coffs Coast Charity Walk fundraiser for the Westpac Life Saver Rescue Helicopter have until 5pm this Sunday, May 26, to register.

Events co-ordinator at the Helicopter Kellie Pinkerton said more than 400 people have registered for the walk on Sunday, June 2.

"We have had a surge of interest in the last fortnight," Ms Pinkerton said.

"With only a few days left, we urge people to go to the event website - www.coffscoastcharitywalk.com.au and register now. Registrations will close at 5pm sharp this Sunday, May 26."

Ms Pinkerton said more than 1200 people took part in the Ballina to Byron Bay Charity Walk last Sunday; double the number from the 2012 walk.

"However some people left it too late to register and were disappointed. We cannot take people once registrations have closed and we don't want people to miss out."

The Coffs Coast Charity Walk is a 14km walk from Moonee Beach to Lower Park Beach Reserve. There is also a 25km run for elite runners from Woolgoolga to Lower Park Beach Reserve.

To register for the walk and for more information go to www.coffscoastcharitywalk.com.au or phone Kellie on 6627 4444.
