Old Fashioned Tea Party at museum store on Saturday
YOU could translate your tea leaves into symbols at an old fashioned tea party on Saturday.
Brennan and Geraghty's Store Museum in Maryborough will hold a tea party as part of this year's Heritage Festival.
The tea party supports the museum's latest exhibition, The Journey of a Cup of Tea, which will be on display until the end of May.
The exhibition explores different elements of tea and tea growing as well as displaying a range of miniature tea sets.
A selection of 22 specialist and common teas have been sourced for the tea party - so if Earl Grey Tea doesn't do it for you, then perhaps a smokey Russian Caravan Tea will be more to your liking?
The tea will be complimented with freshly cut sandwiches, cakes and other treats.
There will be a light-hearted look at tea leaf-reading, exploring what may be read from your tea leaves.
The Old Fashioned Tea Party will be held at Brennan & Geraghty's Store Museum, 64 Lennox St, Maryborough on Saturday, May 17 from 10am-3pm.
The event will cost adults $15, and National Trust members $10.
Funds raised will go towards conservation material for the National Trust Interiors Resource Centre, which opens as part of Maryborough Open House each year.
