Time for a cuppa

LOCAL cancer fundraisers on the Coffs Coast are getting ready to create a stir and officially launch this year's Australia's Biggest Morning Tea fundraising event for Cancer Council.

The 2009 event will be launched on May 1 at the Ice Rink at the Big Banana, and top local hosts who participated in last year's event will be sampling iced tea and ice buns at the coolest place in town.

“We are very excited to be involved in the launch of Australia's Biggest Morning Tea in Coffs Harbour once again,” said Big Banana's Aaron Newnham.

Last year hosts across the Coast raised $200,000 towards the nationwide total of $10 million. While the official day for this year's Australia's Biggest Morning Tea is Thursday, May 28, morning teas can be held anytime during the month of May.
