Time for action

IT WAS inspiring to read in a recent Advocate the voices of the youth of Coffs Harbour who expressed their dissatisfaction towards the recent actions of the Coffs City Council to can all live music gigs at Open Studio.

My question to these young people is, what are you going to do next?

Are you going to sit back and accept that this is another setback for Coffs cultural development, or are you going to be proactive?

Maybe it is time to get organised, maybe it is time to speak to your local members, organise petitions, be vocal.

Just because you are too young to vote does not mean your voices can't be heard.

Think about this.

If Coffs City Council can turn the old museum into an over-50s ping pong hall without community consultation, what are they doing for the under 18s?
