Ticket to ride

THE State Government is trumpeting the beginning of $2.50 all-day multi-ride bus travel for seniors and pensioners in country NSW.

Country Labor Chair Steve Whan said the RED (Regional Excursion Daily) ticket would open up affordable travel to seniors and pensioners right across country NSW.

“This new system will deliver great savings for many pensioners and seniors already doing it tough with the rising cost of living,” Steve Whan said.

“Many of our older citizens and pensioners rely on bus travel for important things such as grocery shopping, medical appointments, volunteering, visiting family and friends, and being active in the community in general.

“The $2.50 flat rate gives significant savings for those who need it most.”
