Clubs to play round 3 of Solo Cup

THREE North Coast Football clubs have the chance to win $500 in prize money this afternoon when they play in the third round of the Northern NSW Solo Cup.

Victory for Coffs United, Woolgoolga or reigning premiers Maclean will see them progress through to the quarter finals of the knockout competition and the prize for making it to the last eight teams is $500, twice the initial entry fee that the clubs paid.

Coffs United are travelling to Tamworth today to face Oxley Vale Attunga.

The Lions will be quietly confident that they can overcome the ‘Mushies’ having already had a look at their opponent when they defeated Sawtell in the previous round.

Woolgoolga has a tough gig this afternoon travelling to Lismore to face the highly reputed Byron Bay Rams while Maclean are looking to continue their unbeaten streak in 2010 by claiming victory at the same ground in a double header over Goonellabah.
