Thora gets a lot more comfortable

THE Thora hall west of Bellingen will soon be a lot more comfortable.

Bellingen Shire Council and the Thora Hall Management Committee have been allocated $28, 350 from the state government’s Community Halls Renewal Fund, which in turn is part of its $85 million Building the Country package.

Bellingen mayor Councillor Mark Troy said the money will be used to provide better access facilities, for the installation of insulation in the ceiling space and an air conditioning system in the kitchen and the acquisition of an electronic communication notice board.

“Thora Hall provides a focus for people who live in the rural community and is a place to meet for social occasions and provides a venue for a vast range of other activities,” Cr Troy said.
