This is surfing, our way

NOT all the action this week is land-based and high octane.

At Emerald Beach, dolphins have been caught revelling in a pulse of swell and magic spring weather.

Surf photographer Tom Woods was at Shelley Beach when he snapped a pod of dolphins surfing the waves.

"There's always a pod out there. About four of five of them saw the guys in the line-up and sprang into action really showing the surfers how to surf," Tom said.

"They came through on one of the best sets of the day, leaping and showing off, it was great."
