Named as number 10 on Lonely Planet's 10 Best Travel Regions of 2015, if you've never been to Macau, there are lots of good reasons to go.

Macau is a melding of east and west, a fusion of ancient architecture and high-tech pizazz.

It's futuristic Asian entertainment hub that fortunately has been able to preserve rich Chinese and Portuguese culture and traditions in its beautiful temples, churches, museums and festivals.

Classic spots include A-Ma Temple, Ruins of St Paul's and Senado Square. There are top restaurants that dish up Chinese, Western and Macanese cuisine.

If you've never been to Macau, to get you started here are 10 iconic places to visit in 2015.
