There's something for all folk

GET your banjos out and your jive boots on - the Dorrigo Folk and Bluegrass Festival is almost here again.

The festival officially opens on October 23 but the party starts well before. “Tallowoods and Tollywongs”, a pre-festival special community presentation, is scheduled for Thursday, October 22 and will showcase activities which have engaged many community members in recent months.

The festival itself really kicks off with an old-time Appalachian Square Dance on Friday, October 23 evening in the main pavilion. The MY-T-Fine Stringband return again this year and should get everyone tapping their toes on the dance floor.

Festival tickets are $75 for the weekend. A youth pass (for primary and secondary school students) is $20 and includes all activities and workshops. Session passes are available for $30.
