CELEBRATING the artistic achievements of the mental health community, the 2011 CHESS Art exhibition has again revealed some remarkable local talent.

The official opening took place last night with 230 guests expected to attend the function addressed by keynote speaker Robert Gray, a highly regarded art therapy lecturer from Germany.

The exhibition highlights artists from Bellingen, Grafton, and Coffs Harbour, with 120 individual pieces including oils, mixed  media, sculpture, installations, acrylics and watercolours.

The 2011 CHESS Art Exhibition is open from 10am to 2pm at the Norm Jordan Pavilion at Coffs harbour Showground until tomorrow.

Entry is by gold coin donation.
