You can buy this Gladstone salon on the cheap right now

LOOKING to consolidate her hairdressing businesses in Gladstone, Sandy Turner has put The Haircutters salon at Sun Valley on the market for a steal.

It's going for a cool $39,000 which Ms Turner estimates to be about half of what it's worth.

Although Ms Turner said times were tough in Gladstone overall, the reason she has put the salon on the market is because she's moving on to bigger and better things.

Ms Turner recently secured a contract with Wildcolor, an American hairdressing company, which will see her travelling across the country teaching other salons all things hairdressing.

"That's why I've got to sell and sell it fast," Ms Turner said.

"Our workload's going to get so busy."

Ms Turner will start touring Australia in August.

"It was bloody hard to get but it's going to be huge," she said.

"It'll help to fill some of the potholes," she said.

Ms Turner has had The Haircutters for between three and four years and has owned Mopheadz for 14 years.

She said whoever buys the salon, will "buy themselves a job".
