The Glen scores comfortable victory over BITS squad

IT WAS a mixed bag for The Glen A-grade cricket team at the weekend.

They were in fine form against BITS on Saturday down at Boyne Island.

The Glen was five for 212 defeating the home side, which managed 104.

The Glen captain Michael Heymer said they pretty much had a full team, and losing only one wicket in the first set helped keep the lead throughout the game.

Two of the men who helped The Glen's cause on the day were Liam Kirk, who scored 40, and Luke Marsh, who was 5-33 with the ball.

Yesterday, The Glen travelled to Rockhampton to play Frenchville in the final round of the Yaralla Sports Club Capricornia Club Challenge.

The match, which was rained out after 10 overs, pit the highest-ranking Gladstone team against the best Rockhampton team with Frenchville coming out on top.
