The Coffs Coast is sweltering

LOCALS took refuge indoors yesterday as temperatures soared on what was predicted to be one of the hottest days of the year.

A slight sea breeze did little to cool down the coast as the mercury rose into the mid-30s around lunchtime.

The heatwave continues today but relief is in sight, with 23 degrees and possible showers forecast for tomorrow.
