Teenage boys approached Tweed Heads West

TWO teenage boys were approached by a person in a car at the Caltex service station on Kennedy Drive, Tweed Heads on Friday afternoon.

Tweed Byron LAC police officers said the two boys "were called out to" but the car did not stop.

Police did not comment on claims the driver offered "$4" for the boys to get into his car.

Detective Inspector Darryl Steele said police were "following a couple of lines of enquiry" in relation to the incident, but are not seeking witnesses.

"Anything in relation with trying to lure children will not be disregarded," Det Ins Steele said.
