THE case against a Mackay teen charged with the alleged violent attempted robbery that left a popular Sarina limousine driver fighting for his life has been granted a three-month adjournment amid the coronavirus pandemic.
John May was found near death by a passing motorist after crashing his vehicle into a power pole on Brewers Rd.
He had a significant injury to the right side of his chest.

He was rushed to hospital in critical condition but has since been able to return home where he is recovering.
As a result of a targeted police investigation, it is alleged a 15-year-old boy is involved in the incident.
The teen has been charged with attempted robbery with personal violence, as well as other charges in relation to separate incidents.
This is the third time the case has been mentioned in Mackay Children's Court.
A bail application has not been made as of yet.
The case has been adjourned to June 26 as courts across the state restrict caseloads in an effort to stop the spread of the virus.
