Teen boy critically injured in Glenreagh Crash

A TEENAGE boy is in a critical condition after a crash on the Orara Way near Glenreagh in the early hours of Saturday morning.

According to a statement from police shortly after midnight on Saturday morning a Holden Commodore was travelling along Orara Way near Glenreagh when it left the road and hit a tree.

Police and other emergency services rushed to the scene and the 19-year-old male driver was taken to Coffs Harbour Health Campus in a critical but stable condition.

Two male passengers aged 20 and 23 and two female passengers aged 19 and 26 were also taken to Coffs Harbour Health Campus with minor injuries.

A crime scene was established at the crash site and police will allege officers seized 143 grams of cannabis from a back pack that had been thrown from the vehicle.

Police also allegedly found a significant amount of alcohol strewn across the impact scene.

A police investigation into the incident is under way.
