Teachers on strike

COFFS Coast public schools and TAFE will stop tomorrow, as teachers across the coast attend stopwork meetings to protest working conditions.

In another move in a long-running dispute between teachers and the State Government, tomorrow's meeting will discuss and debate further action at the beginning of the 2009 school year.

NSW Teachers Federation regional organiser, Wayne Webber, said the industrial action was a result of the State Government insulting teachers with inadequate pay offers.
