A taste of Cuba in Coffs

ALWAYS wanted to learn Latin dance but felt intimidated? Let Christina and the Kulturithmik Dance Crew help you relax, have fun and feel at ease on the dance floor while you lose yourself in the hypnotising Cuban beats.

Club Coffs on West High is now becoming known to locals as "Dance Central" with Kulturithmik Cuban Dance classes on Monday and Wednesday nights.

All are welcome as Christina teaches beginner level Cuban Salsa and other rhythms at 6.30pm.

The cost is only $10 per person per hour.

If you're from the Nambucca Valley area, there is also a new Thursday night class at Nambucca RSL 6.30pm Cuban Salsa and at 7.30pm Argentine Tango and other rhythms.

And for those in the Bellinger Valley, the regular Tuesday nights at the Bellingen Memorial Hall continue to make people move and groove to the mesmerising Cuban rhythms.

Kulturithmik is the brainchild of Christina Monneron, Cuban dance pioneer in Australia, who moved to the Mid North Coast from Melbourne in 2010.

Since then, she has recruited many people to join the "rhythm revolution" that is Cuban dance.

Together with Coffs own "Cuban Pete" Skewes and the rest of the Kulturithmik Dance Crew, Christina is committed to giving people authenticity and a fun, social dance experience like no other with ongoing weekly dance classes, regular social dances as well as workshops with special international guest artists like Carlos Cinta from USA coming to teach Saturday August 25 followed by a dance party for all.
