TASMANIAN FLOODS: Body recovered after more than a fortnight

THE body of a man swept away by floodwaters in Tasmania more than a fortnight ago was recovered yesterday.

Police said the body - believed to be that of 63-year-old Peter Watson - was found about noon in the South Esk River.

The search continues for 81-year-old Trevor Foster.

He was last seen at Ouse, in the Upper Derwent Valley, on June 6 when he went to check on livestock.

Latrobe woman Mary Allford, 76, also died in the Tasmanian floods.
