The 13-year-old walked away with first place in Australia's most prestigious junior magic competition and the following day came second in the 2014 Australian Junior Close Up Magic Championships.

One of the judges, TV personality Cosentino, said Jake's act was one of the best he had ever seen.

Jake first stepped into the local spotlight with star performances at the Sawtell Chilli Festival and Coffs Harbour Buskers Festival.

Earlier this year he came third in the Australian Street Entertainment Championships on the Gold Coast
