TAFE honours excellence students

FOUR students received special awards at the annual TAFE graduation ceremony on Wednesday.

They were David Hadlow, Jaya Drungilas, Erna Hassan O’Dell and Margaret Scott.

David Hadlow was presented with the Coffs Harbour City Council Award for Outstanding Apprentice on Campus.

While David was studying Certificate III in Metal Fabrication and Welding, he also completed a number of advanced welding competency units from the Certificate IV in Engineering.

Jaya Drungilas won the TAFE Student Association Award for Outstanding Achievement in a Certificate Course. He showed outstanding results in most subjects while studying Certificate IV in Tertiary Preparation.

This year, two equally outstanding students could not be separated, so Erna Hassan O’Dell and Margaret Scott jointly received Coffs Ex-Services Club Awards for Outstanding Achievement, presented by club director David Christenson.

Erna Hassan-O’Dell achieved excellent results in the Diploma of Business Administration.

Margaret Scott was presented with her award for efforts in undertaking the Diploma in Events Management.
