An umbrella saves the day

DAWN Lynch didn’t have an option and wasn’t sure how it would all work out, but decided it just had to be done.

With her Lynch’s Honey stall at yesterday’s Growers Market at risk from a tarp being quickly filled with rainwater, she put her brolly to a non-conventional but still legitimate use.

To her absolute delight the novel approach was successful despite the rain continuing to fall throughout the day.

To 5pm yesterday the Bureau of Meteorology office at the airport had recorded 127 millimetres of rain, including 100 mls for the 24-hour period to 9am.
