Surf to keep rolling at Coffs

THE blooming crop of surfing talent coming out of the Coffs Coast will get their chance to shine again in 2009.

Surfing Australia has announced that Coffs Harbour will continue as a venue for a round of the Billabong Pro Junior series in February.

The 2008 series launched locals Heath Joske and Jayke Sharpe on to the international surfing scene and encouraged dozens of grommets to follow in their footsteps. Next year's event is a men's grade 3 and women's grade 1 rated ASP event with $23,000 prize money.
