Support a good cause

THIS Saturday night, you can experience some of the best talent the Coffs Coast has to offer - all in the name of a good cause.

The Salvation Army, in association with Offbeat Operations and Simon Coates Audio Visual Solutions , are holding a concert to raise funds for the Victorian Bushfire Appeal at The Hoey Moey - and the need your support.

From 3pm onward, more than 12 local bands and solo artists will take to the stage, pumping out some of the hottest sounds the coast has to offer.

Nine Sons of Dan, Ben Francis Band, Show Room Special, Loco Parentus, Jesse Emmanuel, Boyz Next Door, One Hand Clapping and Sayd will all be donating their time - just to name a few.

There will also be an auction of sports memorabilia on the day, kindly donated by the Hoey Moet and to be auctioned off by Aylward Auctioneers. Doors open at 1.30pm with entertainment kicking off at 2pm, right through until midnight. The auction is expected start at 5.15pm.

There will be a door charge of $5, with donations also being accepted. All proceeds will go to the Victorian Bushfire Appeal.
