'Superfish' sets records

SAWTELL 'superfish' Leah Bird broke two more records at the last block carnival of the year held at Macksville on Saturday.

Leah set a new mark of 2:10.13 in the 200m freestyle while in the 200m butterfly her time was 2:27.43.

These add to the gold medal times she set in Port Macquarie last month.

Organiser Fay Rowles said 15-year-old Leah wasn't the only star of the carnival.

“Good swimming was the order of the day with nine records falling to five different swimmers,” she said.
