Super rich MP Clive Palmer's assets list spans 11 pages

THE Sunshine Coast's billionaire MP Clive Palmer doesn't plan to declare the many gifts he receives as a company director, saying they won't be 'received on his behalf personally'.

The mining magnate's pecuniary interest file was released late yesterday and is so long it can't fit on the usual form.

Instead, the Member for Fairfax has attached 11 pages of declarations which detail his specific share holdings in 94 private and 11 public companies.

He holds director positions at a staggering 85 companies in Australia and overseas.

Yet Mr Palmer has pledged to be a 'full time'' MP.

The list, despite being long, is short on detail with no specifics about the actual properties or assets he owns.

Mr Palmer's real estate interests include houses, units and land, commercial buildings and residential/investment in Brisbane and on the Sunshine Coast and Gold Coast.

He also has a business in Jandowae in Queensland, a golf course in Port Douglas and a property in Bora Bora, French Polynesia.

His wife Anna Palmer is listed as also having properties on the Sunshine Coast, Gold Coast, Brisbane as well as an investment apartment in Sofia, Bulgaria.

Their daughter Mary is listed as being beneficiary of the Sunshine Coast and Gold Coast properties.

Other assets include vintage cars, cars, boats, collectibles, motor bikes, furniture, memorabilia, works of art, intellectual property, trademarks, paintings and livestock.

Mr Palmer also claims websites and webnames, copyright, planes, aircraft and heliocopters, loans, and a Sunsuper superannuation account.

Mrs Palmer's assets include boats, cars, works of art, a Sunsuper account and AUSfund superannuation account.

When it comes to gifts, Mr Palmer said gifts were often sent to him in his capacity of a director of the companies listed.

"I have therefore signed an acknowledgement with those companies that all gifts received by me during my terms as a member of the House of Representatives will be on the account of those companies and not received on my behalf personally,'' Mr Palmer wrote.
