Students visiting SCU campus learn about new degrees in 2015

HIGH school students about to start Year 12 received a taste of university life at Senior Schools Day held this week at Southern Cross University's Coffs Harbour campus.

The annual day has been specifically designed for students starting their final high school year and is an opportunity to find out about the courses on offer at Southern Cross University and discover what life is like on campus.

SCU recruitment officer Lucinda Crews said this is the ideal time for students to start considering their post-school options.

"The aim is to stimulate interest in their academic pursuits and long-term aspirations," Lucinda said.

"Students look around the campuses to see the range of facilities that are on offer.

"They can talk to lecturers and current students, who will be providing information on all aspects of life at university."

SCU will offer two new degrees in 2015.

They are the Bachelor of Regional and Urban Planning (Honours) and the Bachelor of Contemporary Studies.
