Stuarts Point drink-driver aged 13

A BOY, aged just 13, has been charged with drink-driving on the Mid North Coast.

Police arrested him after a Toyota Cressida was seen driving erratically through a holiday park at Stuarts Point, south of Macksville.

The vehicle was stopped and officers allegedly found the driver to be a young boy, who had a 30-year-old front seat passenger. A roadside breath test proved positive.He was arrested and taken to Kempsey Police Station where a breath analysis returned a reading of 0.049.

Police charged the boy from Stuarts Point with numerous offences including drink-driving and being unlicensed. He will appear at Kempsey Children's Court at a date to be confirmed.

The 30-year-old man has also been charged. He will face court at a date to be confirmed, charged with aiding and abetting a drink-driver and with permitting an unlicensed driver.
