Start 'em young musically

KINDERMUSIK has arrived in Coffs Harbour and this month you can attend a free demonstration day and find out what it is all about.

Developed 25 years ago, Kindermusik is an early childhood music education program, which covers the development of children from newborn to early primary school age and is designed to introduce children to the adventure of music.

It has been brought to the Coffs Coast by singer, songwriter and performer Jo Hilder, the co-ordinator of the Resonate Creative Arts program.

During January, Jo is holding free demonstration classes so families can come along and see what Kindermusik has in store for their child.

“Parents will need to book in as these demonstration days fill up quickly,” Jo said.

Kindermusik demo days will be held on January 23, 28 and 31 the Christian City Church premises in June Street, Coffs Harbour, and booking are essential. Parents who wish to attend can call Jo on 6653 7681.

Kindermusik With Jo Hilder will kick off in the first term of 2009 with four programs: Village (0-18 months), Our Time (18 months - 3 years), Imagine That (3 to 5 years), and Family Time for families with more than one child.

Classes will be held at Coffs Harbour, Woolgoolga and Toormina.
