Would-Be Stars to dance and shine

THE stars will be shining in Woolgoolga next Saturday night when locals perform at the Dancing with the Would-Be Stars Night.

Run along the lines of the popular television show, local members of the business and surf club community will be teamed up with experienced dancers and will be performing on the night.

The night will be held at the C.ex Woolgoolga from 5.30pm for dinner and 7.30pm for the show.

The show will be a major fundraiser for the Woolgoolga Surf Club and members have been dusting off their dancing shoes for the night.

The member for Coffs Harbour, Andrew Fraser, Tracey Taylor from Corindi Dance School, and Carol Myers from Pacific Dance Centre, will be the guest judges on the night and the audience will be able to vote for their favourite dancer.

Organiser for the night, Julie Potts, said the contestants had been practising as much as they could for the past seven weeks and would be performing a new vogue, Latin or modern number.

This is the second year the competition has run and organisers are hoping to follow on from the huge success of the first.

For more information telephone Julie Potts on 6654 1714 or 0403 695 606.
