Stage is set for the return of Coffs rodeo

IT’S been more than a decade since Coffs Harbour last hosted a rodeo but all that changes tonight when the bulls and the broncos make a spectacular return.

The rodeo features six events including the saddle bronc, bareback, ladies’ barrel race and junior steer ride.

It will conclude with the open bull ride – an event attracting some of the best riders in Australia.

The show society is predicting the event will attract crowds of more than 4000 people.

Gates, food and bar open at 4pm at Coffs Harbour Showground and Mark Shay’s band will entertain crowds immediately after the rodeo.

Tickets cost $15, children $10 and family $50.
