South Arm Rd to get some improvements

WORK on the Nambucca Heads to Urunga upgrade of the Pacific Hwy will cause some delays for motorists using South Arm Rd at Urunga.

From Wednesday traffic delays on South Arm Rd can be expected as improvement work on the road surface starts.

New seal will be placed on the road under the Kalang River bridge as part of the $780 million Nambucca Heads to Urunga project.

One lane will remain open and a single flow alternate traffic arrangement will be in place under the control of traffic lights for the safety of workers and motorists.

Short delays are expected and motorists are advised to plan their journey, follow all signs and drive to the conditions of the road.

The work is expected to take up to four weeks, weather permitting. Wet weather may impact work dates and times and electronic message signs will advise motorists of any changes.
