The snow storm has hit!

PERISHER Ski Resort, near Jindabyne in the Snowy Mountains has received about 15cm of snow as mountain crews scramble to ready the runs for skiers and snowboarders.

The Storm has hit and dumped 15cm of snow across our four resort areas of Perisher Valley, Blue Cow, Smiggin Holes and Guthega. As this storm settles in for the next few days, we’re looking forward to more snow sweeping into the resort. Watch as our teams get the resort ready as The Storm moves in!

The fall marks the first significant dump of this year's ski season and the same front is hoped to reach all the way north to the Granite Belt in southern Queensland.

Indeed a Stanthrope Border Post reader at Eukey has sent in exclusive footage showing snow falling in the Sunshine state.

Temperatures in Stanthorpe are expected to drop down to -1 degrees on Saturday and -3 degrees on Sunday as the cold front battering Perisher makes its way north,
