A YOUNG man is in hospital after being bitten by a snake in Beaconsfield.
A Queensland Ambulance Service spokesman said the man in his 20s was treated for a suspected snakebite to his lower leg at 10.53pm.
He said the man was taken from a private address to Mackay Base Hospital in a stable condition.
Paramedics have transported a male patient to Mackay Base Hospital after he was bitten by a snake in #Beaconsfield at 10:53pm.
