Skinner grabs glory in North Coast Open

COFFS Harbour golfer Grant Skinner took the honours in a three-hole play-off at the North Coast Open last night.

Skinner beat Port Kembla's Lincoln Tighe in front of a packed gallery at the Coffs Harbour Golf Club.

Skinner won by two. After Tighe's wayward tee shot saw him in trouble, he recovered with both golfers just off the back of the tee.

The southern golfer over-shot the hole, allowing Skinner to putt his second shot for victory.

Earlier in the day hopes faded for last year's runner-up Logan Toms.
