Glee-ful musical at Woolgoolga

YOU would have been forgiven for mistaking Woolgoolga High School for a scene out of the hit series Glee recently as students tuned up their vocal chords for the school musical.

The first musical to take place at the school in two years, Simple Simon was the tale of a boy who left home on a grand adventure to find his true love and grow flowers.

Along the way he had many adventures and met both foes and friends, all sung to the tunes of the Fab Four, with some interludes of dialogue.

Impressive performer Patrick Brown played Simple Simon.

“We are extremely proud of him and his performance,” teacher and librarian Megan Hart said. “His talents show the commitment our high school has to both fostering the talents of our students and catering for the needs of our indigenous students.”

DVDs of the performance are available for purchase at the school library.
