Sia Furler, Iggy Azalea score four Grammy nominations

AUSSIE artists Sia Furler and Iggy Azalea have scored an amazing four Grammy nominations, with both in the running for record of the year.

Sia, 38, has been nominated for record of the year and song of the year for her single Chandelier, from her ARIA-winning album 1000 Forms of Fear.

The Adelaide native had the biggest awards haul of the ARIAs, winning four of the six categories in which she was nominated.

She won Album of the Year and Best Pop Release, for her sixth studio album 1000 Forms of Fear.

Furler made the album on the conditions she would not tour or make any public appearances, instead opting to sing facing away from the camera for a few select TV performances.

Her hit single Chandelier also earned her the publicly-voted Best Video, while American pop star Katy Perry accepted the Best Female Artist Award on Sia's behalf.

"Unfortunately she could not be here, she's in LA, but I'll be there on the 21st so I can take it; I love you," Perry said.

Azalea, the 24-year-old rapper from Mullumbimby, picked up Grammy nominations for best new artist and best rap album.

They will face off against British soul-pop artist Sam Smith, Taylor Swift and newcomer Meghan Trainor in the record of the year category.

Sam Smith, Beyonce and singer-producer Pharrell Williams lead the tally with six nominations each.

The music video for Sia's Chandelier, directed by Sia and Daniel McAskill, featuring young dancer Maddie Ziegler, has been nominated for best music video.
