COFFS Harbour Showgrounds are set to come to life tomorrow with some of the country's most pampered and prized poultry.

The Jack Pike Memorial Show will exhibit the region's most impressive birds from areas including Coffs Harbour, Armidale and Grafton.

The one-day event event provides breeders and exhibitors with an opportunity to benchmark their birds under a range of classes.

The event will be held in honour of Coffs Harbour local Jack Pike who sadly passed away earlier in the year.

Mr Pike exhibited his first bird in 1946 and had contributed to the poultry section of the Coffs Harbour Agricultural Show until 2007.

The prestigious Jack Pike Memorial Trophy will be presented to the grand champion at tomorrow's event.

Coffs Harbour and District Poultry Club's John Arnett said everyone is welcome to join in the festivities from 9am to 1pm tomorrow at the Coffs Harbour Showgrounds.
