Show time for Bello

LOCAL produce and organic groceries from Bellingen-based store Kombu Wholefoods will be seen across the world after a TV company phoned the store to ask if they could supply food for a TV show featuring Sydney-based Chef Bill Granger.

The TV segment was shot during the Bellingen Show on Saturday.

And Kombu store partner Kevin Doye was excited with the chance to offer great local produce.

"It was a real honour to be asked to showcase local produce for use in a series that will be seen across the world," said Kevin.

"It also shows how lucky we ar to have such talented producers in this region. The area is becoming famous across Australia for its great food and the publicity from this show will let even more people know about organic food from the Bellinger Valley."

The show itself attracted thousands of visitors to the town.

Many flocked to see the variety of rural and agricultural displays, while others wanted to catch up with the latest attractions at the fairground.
