Shops get ready for rally

A RALLY-themed window display on one of Coffs Harbour’s busiest roundabouts is turning heads.

Gripped with rally fever, Lifehouse Care Bargain Centre on Harbour Dr has set a high benchmark in the Coffs Coast Advocate and Coffs Harbour Chamber of Commerce’s Rally Australia window-dressing competition.

The front half of a car, mannequins sporting racing helmets, and all the Rally Australia paraphernalia they can fit into the prominent corner shopfront has been hard to miss.

“We were talking about the rally and thought what a great event it will be for the Coffs Coast, so we made sure we got into theme, by dressing up the window,” Lifehouse Care Bargain Centre’s Jenni Bienefelt said.

“It’s amazing the response we have had. It’s a good location. I’m told this is one of the busiest roundabouts in regional NSW. It certainly has been noticed.” The window-dressing competition is offering local businesses a stack of incentive to rally-theme their shopfronts.

First prize is two fully catered Rally Australia club passes for the super special stage on Saturday, September 10.

As well, there are 5000 fully designed and printed full-colour A4 business brochures valued at $1000, courtesy of Axis Print Solutions, and a free one-year paid membership with the Coffs Harbour Chamber of Commerce.

Second prize is two WRC event super passes to one spectator point per day and nightly access to the general admission area of the super special stage.

Third prize is one WRC event super pass to one spectator point per day and nightly access to the general admission area of the super special stage.

Simply dress up your store in a rally theme and send in a picture of your store to entries@coffscoastadvocate.com.au.

All entries will be judged and the best-dressed stores win. For extra rally decorations email rally@axisprint.com.au.
