Shopping message is 'keep it local' as Christmas approaches

AS THE last few shopping days bring us closer to Christmas the NSW Minister for Small Business John Barilaro and Coffs Harbour MP Andrew Fraser ask the community to think small and local when purchasing goods or services this festive season.

Mr Fraser said approximately 36 per cent of small business operators live in regions like the Coffs Coast and they support the community year round by providing goods and services, creating jobs and helping the local community to thrive.

"It is the season for giving so this is the perfect time to let your local small business operators know that you appreciate what they bring to your community," Mr Fraser said.

"Instead of the hustle and bustle choose the friendly smiles, warm customer service and hospitality of your local community.

"This time of year presents a great opportunity for everyone to shop at their favourite small business or take a short break and explore some of the fantastic tourist attractions in regional NSW that provide many great experiences."
