Sharks lose premiership winner to Warriors

CRONULLA coach Shane Flanagan has confirmed winger Gerard Beale will leave the club for the Warriors.

The former Brisbane and St George Illawarra player and Kiwi international has signed a three-year deal with the New Zealand outfit.

"Gerard Beale spoke to the group this week, he's moving on to the Warriors for three years," Flanagan said.

"He said it's not our last game this weekend, we're not approaching it as that."

The news comes just a day before the Sharks' elimination final with North Queensland at Allianz Stadium tomorrow.

Beale, 27, was born in Queensland but is of New Zealand heritage.

He was part of last year's grand final-winning Sharks team.
