Shark swims under jetty

COFFS Harbour retiree Fred Myles couldn't believe his eyes when he spotted a large dark shadow swimming in the harbour yesterday.

“It was a big shark, must have been eight feet long,” Mr Myles said.

“In my 31 years here in Coffs, I've never seen one swimming beneath the piers of the jetty."

"I hope it headed out of the harbour, but it's important people know it's around.”
