IT'S a day to celebrate the diversity of our community - the third annual We Care Day.

Stallholder and volunteer applications are now open.

Organisers are calling on the local community to volunteer or get their businesses involved with this year's event taking place on October 10 from 10am-4pm at Brelsford Park.

Local artisans and food outlets are encouraged to apply to provide a variety of cusines to highlight the culture of the Coffs coast and its surrounds.

We Care Day organisers are also calling on the participation of local aged care, health and disability service providers by booking a space in the information hub to promote how they are helping people on the Coffs Coast remain within the community and lead fulfilling lives.

The event promises a stellar line-up of activities catering to people of all ages, cultures and abilities, including live music by local talent Ebb n Flo, a wheelchair sports basketball competition involving local dignitaries and sports people living with a disability, as well as a cultural hub including representatives of the African, Indian and Garlarmbirla Aboriginal peoples.

C.ex childrens zone will keep the young ones entertained, featuring a petting zoo, face painting and a mechanical bull and surfboard rides.
