SES crew frees driver from wreck

EMERGENCY crews were called to free a driver, trapped by confinement after her vehicle was involved in an accident in Howard St yesterday.

A Land Rover four-wheel-drive and a Ford Festiva were involved in the crash, near the Hogbin Drive intersection at 12.45pm.

The female driver of the Ford had to be freed by the State Emergency Service, while her passenger was able to walk away from the accident.

Coffs Harbour City SES unit controller Bill Roffey said the door had to be removed from the hatchback to free the driver.

The woman was taken by NSW Ambulance paramedics to the Coffs Harbour Health Campus.

Police are investigating, which driver was at fault.
