Service station targeted in attack

POLICE are investigating an armed attack at a Coffs Harbour service station this afternoon.

It is understood that three men had entered the Park Beach BP service station shortly before 4pm where they attacked a staff member after demanding cash.

The assailants, described as being in their early 20's and wearing dark clothes and balaclavas, later fled the scene.

Police responded and an investigation into the incident is now underway.

The service station was closed to customers this evening while detectives examined the scene.
