Service station attendant victim of Nambucca Heads robbery

A SERVICE station in Nambucca Heads was the latest target in a spate of armed robberies on the Mid North Coast.

Shortly after 7pm on Tuesday, a man entered the back door of the Mann St service station as the female attendant was taking rubbish outside.

The man pushed the attendant over and threatened her with scissors while demanding cash.

She was able to get up and ran back into the store with the man following her to the console area.

A short time later the man fled the location with an amount of cash and the attendant's wallet.

Nambucca Police were contacted and launched an investigation into the incident. A crime scene was established at the service station and was examined by detectives.

The man is described as being of Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander in appearance and about 160cm tall with a muscular build.

He was last seen wearing lime green coloured shorts, a black and white striped hooded jumper and brown coloured 'skate' shoes. He also wore white gloves, sunglasses and an 'Australian Flag' bandana covering the lower half of his face.

Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or use the Crime Stoppers online reporting page.
