Segeyaro signs long-awaited deal with Sharks

JAMES Segeyaro has signed a two-year deal with Cronulla, finally completing his messy exit from English club Leeds.

The 2014 Dally M hooker of the year had been linked with a move to the Shire for some time after he refused to embark on another season with the Rhinos.

Segeyaro was granted permission to train with the Sharks late last week and was named on an extended bench for the clash with Parramatta on Saturday night.

"I'm excited to have him in my squad," said Sharks coach Shane Flanagan.

"James has missed a fair bit of training and we probably won't see the best of him for a few weeks, however he is a quality player and one that will certainly add something to our team.

"He gives us some real competition at hooker and Jayden (Brailey) will need some help during the year and James will provide that."
