Second round of sports funding to open next month

FRASER Coast families, sport and recreation clubs will continue to Get in the Game, with the second round of funding for the State Government's grassroots initiative to open next month.

Premier Campbell Newman and Sport and Recreation Minister Steve Dickson announced on Tuesday applications for Get Started would reopen on July 15, followed by Get Going and Get Playing on August 15.

Get Playing provides grants of up to $100,000 in funding to sport and recreation organisations for facility development and Get Going will provide grants of up to $10,000 for items and activities to help clubs attract and retain club members.
